Raising the Roof: Custom Loading Dock Helps Manufacturer’s Expansion

Darmax’s installation of a Thorworld modular loading dock has supported the expansion plans of a leading manufacturer of roof racks and outdoor vehicle accessories, by offering an efficient solution for loading and unloading.

The business had recently expanded with the acquisition of a new warehouse close to its existing facility. However, the new site lacked any loading docks, which meant that goods containers could not be shipped direct from source in a cost efficient manner.
After approaching Darmax, we designed and installed a modular dock solution. Once installed, the new loading docks allowed for shipping containers to be sent directly to the new site, significantly reducing operational costs and providing greater flexibility for the company.
The loading dock was designed to be installed underneath an overhead mezzanine structure and also included a range of safety features including two ground level loading barriers, swing lip levellers, dock shelters, wheel guides, and traffic lights to ensure safe and effective use.
